Pastor Brant Rice, youth pastor at Celebration Community Church in Hays, along with his wife, DeLynn, sponsored 12 middle school students who are members of the youth group during a two-day retreat at The Shepherd’s Staff Christian Conference and Retreat Center in Rexford.
During the retreat, the group stayed at the Ranch House, once a grocery store that served the area for more than 100 years. The Ranch House offers a fully equipped ranch style kitchen; separate male and female dorms which accommodate up to 27; two separate bathrooms with shower; a piano, TV/VCR, pool table, complete sound system with mixer, CD changer and tape deck, overhead projector and screen and whiteboard and markers to make any meeting or retreat workable.
